“Going green” is not just reserved for environmental and political platforms
THE gorgeous jewelled-tone hue is very
“now
”, otherwise described as the new black, a trend clearly embraced by some the fashion pack at recent fashion weeks (above). The colour of fertility and envy evokes a sense of empathy and a connection to nature, and is a great addition to any wardrobe. However, there are many shades, so if emerald doesn’t get you swooning look for olive, forest green, mint or lime. But if you aren’t big on making a bold statement, use as a highlight with a scarf, shoe, belt or some fun accessories.
STYLE TIP:
- Team with a similar jewel tone such as ruby red, or with classic white, navy and black.
- Classic combinations include green, white, and a touch of orange; emerald, mint and pink; and green, navy and camel.
