1: Chic & colourful cover-ups

WITH summer just around the corner, it’s time to think about lightening up your beach bag or even brightening up a bathroom with some Euro-chic style.
Great for the beach – and perfect for the Christmas stocking – these 100 per cent linen and cotton Turkish peshtemal towels are just the ticket.
The peshtemal is a woven cloth used to cover the body in hamman or bath, and are a multi-purpose staple in Europe. And Freshwater Style has a fantastic range to choose from.
Use them as a beach towel, bath towel or pool towel, yoga blanket, sarong, scarf, picnic rug, tablecloth or anything else you can think of. Fast drying and super absorbent, they become softer with each use. Also known as sarongs in Asia, kikoys (east Africa), shukas (Africa) or foutas (Mediterranean), they will become the most chic multi-purpose item in your home this summer – plus they look good!

2: Summer sandals

My Victoria Hampshire Gladiator sandals in natural leather

IN my book, anything made by hand is pure luxury. But shoes and sandals are a whole other level.  So to stumble upon these handmade Victoria Hampshire sandals from Positano has been a great find.
Victoria Hampshire is a Sydney girl who fell in love and married an Italian boy and together they have forged a wonderful life living part of the year in Sydney and the other on the Amalfi coast. When they’re not designing and styling boutique hotels and bars, Victoria is designing sandals and scoring the Italian countryside for great pieces to sell on her website.
I ordered three pairs of her sandals – the Gladiator (in the natural leather as above), the T-Bar in black and the Cross Ankle in silver. They’re all I’ll need for summer. To view the complete range go to www.victoriahampshire.com. But to place orders email Victoria direct on victoria@victoriahampshiredesign.com
3: Your chance to win a diamond

You could win a $10,000 diamond experience from Michael Hill jewellers

DIAMONDS are a girl’s best friend – or so they say! Every woman needs at least one diamond – or maybe two if you’re talking diamond stud earrings!
If you don’t have any then you want to miss this chance to win a diamond valued at $10,000 from Michael Hill jewellers. Now what woman doesn’t want that?
All you need to do is purchase a pair of shoes online from Styletread. When you receive your shoes you’ll notice a synthetic diamond in a diamond box inside with a flyer explaining the promotion. Once you receive your shoes, take your “diamond” to your local Michael Hill jewellers to be “assessed”.
But please note that no real diamonds will be sent out. Instead the winning “stone” will have a number engraved on it. The winner will receive a $10,000 diamond experience, which includes a visit to Michael Hill’s headquarters in Brisbane to have a diamond ring custom designed and made.
So do yourself a favour and hurry as there’s only a few days left. The competition closes on Sunday, December 15. You’ve got to be in it to win it!

4: Robyn Lawley’s plus-sized month

SHE’S voluptuous, sexy and an international sensation! And as one of the world's top 10 plus-size models, Robyn Lawley is shaking up the fashion industry and redefining the rules of modelling. And it’s about time.
From a men’s magazine voluptuous pin-up girl to a guest on the Ellen De Generes show, November was a big month for Australia’s first real-size supermodel.
As a healthy size 14-16, New York-based Lawley graced the pages of last month's GQ Australia as their Girl of the Week, and the Huffington Post heralded the story online (read it here) as the “fashion shoot we’ve been waiting for” and challenging an American men’s magazine to include a plus-size model on its pages.
She was also named as the new face of French lingerie company, Chantelle Paris, a brand which is stocked at David Jones. Starring in the brand’s new campaign, Lawley, who is represented by Bella Model Management’s Chelsea Bonner, proves that you don’t need to a size zero Victoria’s Secret Angel to model lacy lingerie.
But it was her turn on Ellen that seemed to resonate with women all over the world. All the attention placed on being thin is exhausting, not to mention dangerous. So her message of self acceptance and being the healthiest you can be is positive and refreshing.  In case you missed her (well I did), the YouTube video above is a shorter version of the original.
And just to prove how comfortable she is her skin, Lawley also posed for a series of elegant and sensual nude images for New York photographer Kenneth Willardt’s first exhibition Size Does Matter. As always, Lawley is a dynamic presence in front of the camera.
You go girl. It’s time to embrace and celebrate the real woman!
